Answers from Shopify and 20+ other sources, checked before you rely on them

Ask AI is our own app for asking questions about a Shopify store in plain English. It brings Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, Xero and more into one place, answers in its own chat or in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, and flags numbers that don't add up.

Reports spread across too many tools

A typical Shopify store keeps sales in Shopify, email in Klaviyo, traffic in GA4, ad spend in Meta and Google, support in Gorgias and accounts in Xero. Each has its own reports, so a simple question like "did that campaign pay for itself?" means exporting from several of them into a spreadsheet.

AI tools can do that work, but only with the right data, and they will give a confident answer from figures that are out of date or don't match. We wanted answers a merchant could check, from data that stays current, without giving an AI tool any way to change the store.

What we built

  • Every source in one place

Shopify orders, products, customers and stock are synced alongside more than 20 other sources, including Klaviyo, GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Gorgias, Xero and review apps. A scheduler checks every minute for syncs that are due, so nobody has to refresh anything.
  • Ask in the app or in your own AI tool

A built-in chat, plus a connection that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity read the same data. Questions can span sources, such as revenue from Shopify against spend from Meta and Google.
  • Figures checked against each other

Ad spend reported by Meta and Google is compared with what attribution tools such as Triple Whale report for the same channel, and large gaps are flagged with a note on which figure to use for which decision. Daily totals are recounted against the orders and tickets behind them, and any difference is logged as an issue.
  • Unusual changes flagged

A metric is flagged only when it moves well outside its normal range and by at least 25%, so small day-to-day changes don't raise alarms. For brands with several stores, a jump in traffic across them with no rise in orders is flagged as likely bot traffic.
  • Insights that get checked again

Findings are saved with the figures behind them. When a merchant acts on one, the change is recorded with the metrics it should move, and follow-up checks, typically at 30, 60 and 90 days, show whether it worked.
  • Read-only, encrypted and reliable

Ask AI asks Shopify for read access only, and the keys and login tokens for other services are stored encrypted with AES-256. Failed Shopify requests are retried with increasing waits, a lock stops two servers running the same sync, and the app runs on Fly.io in London.

Want straight answers from your own data?

Most stores already have the data to answer their questions. It's spread across tools that don't talk to each other. Ask AI joins it up, and we build the same kind of reporting into custom apps.

“I used to spend Monday mornings pulling data from Shopify, Klaviyo, and GA4 into a spreadsheet. Now I just ask Claude and get the answer in seconds.”
